Cut’n’Paste Update

Kia ora koutou,
For fifteen years, Cut’n’Paste has been more than just a business to me; it has been a mission. A mission born from a deep love for New Zealand’s native bush and a drive to protect it. Today, I’m writing to let you – our valued community – know that a new chapter is beginning: I’ve made the significant decision to sell Cut’n’Paste.
This has not been an easy decision but I’ve come to realise that while my passion for the cause is as strong as ever, the energy required for the next big push is something I’m ready to pass on. The future of Cut’n’Paste deserves someone with the vigour and vision to take it to the next level. It’s time for me to bow out and for a new leader to step in.
My greatest hope is to find a buyer who truly understands the ethos of this business. We are not just selling a product; we are providing a solution for people dedicated to conservation. The ideal new owner will be someone who shares this commitment—someone who values excellent customer service, provides dedicated product support, and wants to continue building relationships with the incredible environmental groups and individuals doing the hard work on the ground.
I’m looking for a custodian for the brand’s legacy. Someone with a flair for business, yes, but who also has the knowledge, expertise, and appreciation for what our products achieve. It might be someone like myself, who knows the conservation world by heart and has the connections to carry the mission forward.
From its beginnings at my home on Waiheke Island in 2010, Cut’n’Paste has grown far beyond my expectations. My journey— from my work with the Department of Conservation to becoming the first Ranger at Whakanewha Regional Park and a biosecurity officer, forged the principles that this business is built on. Today, our products are used from one end of Aotearoa to the other, on all our offshore islands, and have helped tackle major weed infestations in the Pacific Islands.
To ensure this process is managed with the care it deserves, I have engaged Alan Billington of Company Sales to find the right person or company to take the reins. Alan has prepared the Information Memorandum at the link below:

It has been an incredible journey, and I am immensely proud of what we have all achieved together. The days of gratuitous spraying are gone and targeted weed control is here to stay.
Thank you for your unwavering support, your feedback, and your shared dedication to protecting our precious natural heritage. I am incredibly optimistic about the future of Cut’n’Paste and look forward to seeing it flourish in new hands.
I will provide another update when there is more news to share!
Ngā mihi nui,
Andy Spence
