Cut’n’Paste sponsorship and Charitable Donations

Cut’n’Paste sponsors the Te Moata Charitable Trust above Tairua in the Coromandel. Here a large block of bush is regenerating and it is carefully looked after by the managers and many guardians, volunteers, WWOOFERS and participants at the many meditation retreats and other life affirming workshops that are run at the centre. Andy and his wife Maya, spend many weeks a year at the centre or retreats and helping out with maintenance and working on the service team at retreats. We feel that this is a very important charitable enterprise to support, and one that does enormous good to those that go there, to learn or simply to enjoy the bush.
Te Moata is a purpose-built retreat centre sitting on 344 hectares of pristine native bush in the Coromandel Peninsula of the North Island of New Zealand.
Te Moata hosts a variety of community events and a programme of retreats and residential courses. Over the last 30 years this has included a range of meditation retreats, yoga, Gi Gong and dance retreats, traditional contemplative retreats, Breath-work conferences, Dances of Universal Peace gatherings, Permaculture Design Certificate courses, Search and Rescue training courses, seasonal celebrations, women’s and men’s gatherings, and personal and professional development groups.
Te Moata is a flourishing sanctuary where we celebrate life, nurture the human spirit and encourage personal responsibility through stewardship of the natural environment.
We provide opportunities for the deepening of well-being through connection with self, community and nature, and a safe haven for native flora and fauna.
We offer this sanctuary for the benefit of generations to come.
I have travelled to many retreat centres around the world and Te Moata is a priceless jewel. When I teach here, I often feel that the true teacher is the land with its lush beauty – the native bush and birds with their melodious songs; the maze of paths, stairs and ropes that lead to mysterious spaces and faraway huts; the ever running lively stream deep in the valley; the sacred labyrinth that calls for our prayers. I love the simplicity of the lifestyle and how Te Moata invites me to slow down and breathe. It is truly a place of retreat, inviting each of us who goes there to listen to something deep within our being that we are all longing to hear.

Volunteering & Friends of TM
Te Moata is sustained through the Love and Care of People
Most Retreat Centres rely on help from people who care that they exist and prosper. Te Moata is no exception. Without the generosity and loving care of many people over the years, Te Moata would not be the beautiful nourishing place it is today and that support and care for the land and centre will be needed to sustain it into the future.
This land and the many buildings associated with the Retreat Centre are expensive to keep and need continual maintenance and repair. We have 4 people residing permanently at Te Moata who act in various roles to keep the centre going and retreats happening, also many volunteers passing through.
Your love, care and support is vital in keeping the centre going. This can be in the form of financial gifts, tangible gifts or gifts of time and skill. Many people express that in giving to Te Moata they receive so much more in return.
If you’d like to go and experience Te Moata you are always warmly welcomed. Your support is also very much appreciated by all those that love this place. Cut’n’Paste Weed Gels are proud to a long term supporter.
