We are recycled !

Our courier bags & satchels have been made from recycled plastic for a while now – so we were very keen to look at getting our bottles made with recycled materials too.
We are very happy to announce a significant step forward in sustainability and innovation at Cut’n’Paste: our new blue plastic bottles are now made with almost 50% recycled materials! As part of our commitment to reducing environmental impact and supporting circularity in packaging, these bottles combine quality, functionality, and eco-friendliness.
A New Era for Our Bottles
- Material Composition:
Our new bottles are made from:- 48.5% LDPE (virgin material)
- 48.5% rHDPE (recycled HDPE sourced from post-consumer milk bottles and the like)
- 3% colourant for a fresh, slightly darker blue hue.
- Recycled Content:
The inclusion of rHDPE (recycled HDPE) supports the global shift towards sustainable packaging. By incorporating post-consumer recycled materials, we are reducing plastic waste and encouraging the use of recycled resins in manufacturing. - Slightly Darker Blue:
The new colour not only reflects our refreshed approach but also makes it easier for consumers to identify these bottles as a step toward sustainability.
Why rHDPE?
- Eco-Friendly and Circular:
Using recycled HDPE reduces reliance on virgin plastics, cuts down on landfill waste, and fosters a circular economy. - High-Grade Quality:
Our rHDPE is very high grade to help ensure longevity and ease of use.
Why only 50%?
Due to the nature of our product and due to the limitations of what’s available, 100% recycled plastic – while absolutely desirable – is not feasible yet –it affects the bottle flexibility, vital to squeezing out gel. 100% recycled would be much too stiff to squeeze properly. You may notice a slight change in flexibility when you have the new bottles. We are of course always looking at ways to improve and will look to increase our recycled content % if and when suitable options arise and become feasible. For now – we are thrilled to get half way there (almost)!
Proudly Manufactured in New Zealand
These bottles are locally produced, reducing the carbon footprint associated with transportation and supporting New Zealand manufacturing.
