Arum Lilies are beautiful and take over wet areas
Arum Lilies are so beautiful and yet they are very prolific and easily take over wet areas and gardens. Killing them has always been difficult until Cut'n'Paste MetGel. Our metsulfuron methyl based gel is very effective against Arums whatever the variety you may have.
Originates from South Africa. It was introduced to New Zealand as an ornamental garden plant and is thought to have been naturalised by 1870.
All parts of the plant are poisonous and one of the National Poison Centre’s top ten poisonous plants; being consistently involved in unintentional or childhood poisonings. Not something you really want to have in your garden.
There are many cultivars of this weed but normally the standard plant with white flowers is the one that has been the most weedy.

Best treated by cutting down the to the stump and pasting with MetGel.
If the stump oozes a gel-like sap after cutting wipe this away before applying MetGel.
If there is regrowth add a little Bamboo Buster to the stump as well at the MetGel to increase its effectiveness.
